Chamber Board Members

I am excited to serve as a board member of the Hinton Chamber, where I look forward to helping develop, support, and celebrate our local businesses. This role allows me to give back to the community that has supported my business ventures and to contribute to building a thriving business environment in Hinton.

After immigrating to Canada from the UK over 20 years ago, I found my home in Hinton. It is hard to not fall in love the ‘Gateway to the Rockies’ and everything our area has to offer. My husband Stuart and I are proud to call it home and as the place to raise our family. We have 3 wonderful children. James 20, Faith 18 and Jack 13.

Prior to joining ATB, I owned and operated a successful small business and served as a manager in the retail sector for a number of years. I then shifted to a focus on education, most recently working to support children with complex needs at St Gregory Catholic school.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, riding horses on the Hinton drill team and backcountry.

I am very excited about this opportunity to participate as a board member in the Hinton & District Chamber of Commerce. Since making Hinton my home in 2019, I have started and continue to run several small business ventures; including a thriving practice as a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) and pursuits as a photographer and artist.

I am passionate about fostering a sense of community for Hinton businesses and I would like to help connect and empower local businesses so that together we are all successful in our ventures! I feel that I can bring the unique perspective of a home-based business to the Executive Board.

I moved to Hinton with my husband and two children in 2007 from Vancouver Island to pursue new opportunities and raise our family.
After working and enjoying the lifestyle Hinton offered for seven years we decided to become committed to residing long term and in 2014 we purchased Apex Auto Body. In 2018 after ten years of working in the educational field I decided to join my husband full time with the day to day operations of running the business.
Since I was new to business and very interested in the challenges local
businesses face, joining the Hinton Chamber was my chance to gain information and give back to other businesses. I pride myself on supporting local and want to see all hardworking business owners in our community prosper.

Meet Trevor Bamsey, the dedicated Hintonite and visionary behind Rocky Mountain Collective in Hinton and Jasper. As a devoted family man, Trevor, alongside his supportive wife and three children, embodies a passion for community improvement deeply ingrained in his desire to build a brighter future for his family and neighbors. His entrepreneurial journey with the Rocky Mountain Collective reflects an unwavering commitment to uniting the community through quality offerings and unique experiences. With roots in the Rotary Club of Hinton, and the SmartStart Mentor program, Trevor is on a quest to pave the way for a thriving future where economic growth and community welfare intertwine leaving a lasting, positive impact on Hinton and Jasper.

My husband and myself moved to Hinton as newly weds, drawn to the community by its proximity to the mountains and numerous job prospects.
Fast forward 20 Years, and we are still here, in the community that has helped us start and grow our business, Logic Control.
I’ve become a board member, for the chamber to help give back to the community that has given me my past and my future.
The Chamber allows me to be involved and lend my voice to an organization important to helping Hinton grow and prosper.

My family and I moved to Hinton in 2009 and it has become our adopted hometown. During my time in the community, I have worked with the Town of Hinton, volunteered with the Hinton Healthcare Foundation, supported the Alberta Northern Rockies Tourism Alliance, and penned a weekly column for the Hinton Voice. In 2023, I became the Chief Administrative Officer for Novus Earth Energy Operations, a geothermal energy company with a project underway just outside of Hinton.

I moved to Hinton in 2021 and I am the Store Manager at Freson Bros on the hill. Being new to town, I wanted to get more involved in my community and understand the local business landscape. Being a board member is important to me as it allows me to interact with other business leaders and share insights into ways of helping the small business community.
