Networking
One of the most important elements of any Chamber!
The Chamber provides the opportunity to get together, it is up to the Members to ensure it happens.
Opportunities:
Monthly Meetings
There is no one who knows business, like business owners, or managers. Getting together to discuss our businesses and what’s working and what isn’t. Our monthly meetings are a great place for those discussions. At the round table you have the opportunity to tell the meeting about your business and there is time for discussing business.
Beer & Blue Jeans
Several times each year The Chamber hosts an informal evening for the business community to get together and to meet with our political leaders. Beer & Blue Jeans is intended to provide a forum for discussion and not for political debate. The next Beer & Blue Jeans will be in April after the AGM when the Board will be finalized for 2016-17.
Political Discussion
The Chamber sees it as their responsibility to support political discussion. We have traditionally hosted the Candidates Forums for each of our Municipal, Provincial and Federal elections. Additionally, the Hinton Chamber has hosted Allison Redford, Justin Trudeau as opposition leader and our municipal officials. Let’s talk about it!
The Hinton Chamber will host Alberta’s Finance Minister, Joe Cesi on Tuesday, May 3rd, 2016. Follow-up for details.
Pulling a good network together takes effort, sincerity and time.
