Fohn Festival & Canada Day Celebrations
June 30 – July 1, 2016 Green Square is one of Hinton’s signature events! The Föhn Festival is Hinton’s opportunity to celebrate the region’s historical significance, connect with neighbors, understand the cultures that make up our community, increase a sense of community pride and showcase our rich diversity to new residents and visitors.
The Föhn Festival Society of Hinton is a non-profit organization made up entirely of volunteers. Canada Day celebrations include parade, pancake breakfast and fireworks, as well as great entertainment in Green Square all day!

Wild Mountain Music Festival
Wild Mountain Music is always on the third weekend in July at the Entrance Ranch, 8km North on Highway 40. Onsite camping is included with a Weekend Pass. The performance field features two performance stages, beer gardens, food and art vendors and kids activities.
Beaupre Bus moves patrons between Hinton (several pickup/drop-off spots) and the festival site, Wild Mountain General Store for all your festival needs. Wild Mountain is currently seeking festival volunteers and sponsors. For more information or to purchase tickets visit the www.wildmtnmusic.ca.
Hinton Bike Fest
Bike Fest happens each summer at the Hinton Bike Park. The Beaver Bike Fest is the signature bike festival each year. Three main events are hosted including the downhill race on Flow Master, the skills event and the Dirt Jam. There are also additional events such as the mini pump track race for kids 6 & under, foot-down race, snail race, and many others!!

Winter Magic Festival
Winter Magic Festival is held at various locations around Hinton – Gregg Lake, Nordic Centre, Maxwell Lake. The Town of Hinton helps coordinate a mixture of art, food, recreation, and family fun events organized by community groups. This winter celebration is a seasonal highlight that has been running for over 25 years! For volunteer and other information please contact the Recreation Coordinator by phone 780-865-6064.
First Nations came to this area to collect powerful medicines and to celebrate & feast… It is just a great place for a festival!
