Welcome to Hinton and thank you for visiting. While in Hinton, follow our new way finding signs to visit the attractions that make Hinton unique. If you feel like stretching your legs, our Beaver Boardwalk is Canada’s longest freshwater boardwalk (3 kms). If you time your visit just right you might have the pleasure of listening to local artists perform while you walk on wooden pathways around a functioning beaver pond.

Hinton is also home to an extensive trail system.wayfinder Get in touch with Nature without leaving our town limits. Many species of wildlife inhabit this region and guided birdwatching tours are available. Easily accessible via the trail system, Hinton’s Mountain Bike Park offers an opportunity to test yourself and develop new skills.

I invite you to wander the shops and see what our three shopping areas have to offer. Make a point of stopping at the Guild to purchase work by local artisans.

Because we are outside of the national park, we are not restricted by the laws that are in place in Jasper. Random camping is available and snow machines and quads can be used. Great camping, hiking and fishing are available just minutes out of town.

I hope you will take time to check out everything we have to offer in Hinton. I believe that it will take a few return visits for you to accomplish this.
